Yes, Jake ran away again. This time, he dug just enough mud out from under our chain link fence to scoot underneath it sometime yesterday morning while I was at work. Thankfully, Jake ended up in the yard of a compassionate neighbor who called me. For the record, this time I was much angrier than the last.

Yes, Jake ran away again. This time, he dug just enough mud out from under our chain link fence to scoot underneath it sometime yesterday morning while I was at work. Analogy being when we're with God we're happy but we're still compelled to try to get away from him at every point. We do it so often God might consider getting a leash for us to stay on and I suppose he'd be justified in doing so.
ReplyDeleteAhh, the nature of analogy. Well, if we should run with this (as Jake obviously has), I'd admit that putting Jake on a leash is tempting. However, like God, I refuse to completely limit his freedom. What kind of life is that? Sure, it's risky, but that's the nature of freedom.
